I know the majority of PON casters use PCs, but I still want to ask on the off chance that anybody has a solution for my problem. Mixing the output of your computer/game and the mic casters use is easy on PCs because Windows already comes with Stereo Mix. With a Mac it's different and in short you have to use a program like SoundFlower (or at least that's what all of my sources point to). I've been trying to mess with SoundFlower for quite some time now, but I have yet to set it up where it allows both my mic and the output to be heard at the same time. Whenever I ask someone for help, they always points me to the same reference that merely lists the features of SoundFlower and not a step-by-step guide to setting it up for my purposes. I've even tried creating an aggregate device of both audio sources using SoundFlower, but when I do so neither the output nor the mic input can be heard. I feel like I just have the wrong setup options. Unfortunately, as stated before more people use PCs than Macs so there's not that much support on the forums (I've even posted asking for help) and friends I've asked for help.
